World Glaucoma Week (11 – 17 March 2012) was marked by a series of activities throughout Serbia. Public actions consisting of free measurement of intraocular pressure were organized in several centres in several towns, and they were massively attended (on the photographs, public free measurement of intraocular pressure in the Delta City shopping mall, held on 14 March 2012).

Well attended press conference dedicated to the glaucoma problem was held in the “Life Design hotel” on 13 March 2012. Then, measurement of intraocular pressure for the journalists who attended the event was organized.

During that week the glaucoma problem was reported by the leading Serbian electronic and print media (Politika, TV Avala, RTS, Studio B…). A great number of institutions, both state and private, joined the organised actions throughout Serbia, and on Wednesday, 14 March 2012 they opened their doors to citizens who wanted to have their eye pressure checked for free, in the mass action called “Serbia Measures Intraocular Pressure.”
